A driver of a transport company, Peace Mass Transit Limited,
identified as Ugwu Charles, has reportedly killed his colleague over a
disagreement in Aba, Abia State.
Eyewitnesses told Abia Facts that Ugwu had a misunderstanding with
his colleague, Chisom Anaele. In the ensuing fight, Ugwu hit Anaele with
an iron object on the head and he collapsed.
Workers of the company were said to have rushed the victim to a hospital in the city where he died few hours later.
Abia State Police Commissioner, Leye Oyebade, said Ugwu fled Aba when
he learned that the victim had died, but detectives later traced to
Enugu where he was arrested.
He stated that the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
